Hello, I'm Rachelle Quarterman the Founder and Owner of RQ Tutoring Academy.

RQ Tutoring Academy was originally founded in the summer of 2024. After years of working in the education system, I noticed literacy and phonics gaps in students learning in every grade level. It was frustrating and heart breaking seeing students struggle but still getting passed along anyway. I wanted to do more and focus on the what and why of their struggle. I decided to make a change and opened up my home for summer reading tutoring. I invested in a business coach, whom I've followed for years and she trained me for about 6 months.

By January 2025, I launched my tutoring business social media pages: Facebook- RQ Tutoring Academy and Instagram @RQTutoring and I revamped my tutoring services. By May 2025, I had two consistent clients that both increased their end of year state exam reading levels. This was a confidence boost for me! My hard work had finally paid off.

Summer 2025, I launched Read and Rise Summer Learning, which is an 8 week tutoring program. By the end of June, I was at max capacity. With others still inquiring about signing up, I now have a waiting list for the 2025-2026 school year.
